かっぱ寿司。
かつては、回転寿司といえばかっぱというくらいの業界トップ企業でしたが、
いつも間にか競合他社に押され衰退。
個人的にも「安くてまずい」とイメージが強くなり、どちらかといえば敬遠していました。
経営も、ちょっと前まですき家のゼンショー傘下だと思っていたら
甘太郎を展開しているコロワイド社の連結子会社になったりして、なんだかさまよっている感じがあります。
そんなかっぱも最近は売り上げが前年を上回る状態が続いているとか。
だからというわけではありませんが、2019年5月休日、家族で訪問してきました。
旧静岡市内に2つあるお店のうち南側。
産業館西通り沿いの幹線通り沿いにあるのですが、
手前にスシローがあって、基本的にはいつも空いている感じ。
この日も連休中でしたが、昼時でも結構空いており満席になる感じはありませんでした。
手前のスシローは、外まで待ち客があふれているんですけどね。
席について、早速お寿司をと思うと、
うーん、商品が少ないですね。今は各座席のタッチパネルで注文すれば、
直接配送されるのでいいといえばいいのですが、回転ずしの楽しみが半減している感じ。
肝心のお味も、まあ価格相応。
以前他店で食べた時よりは、改善した感じもするので、この辺が業績改善の要因かも知れませんが、
そうはいっても同業他社よりかなり落ちる感じは変わらず。
結局、安いから仕方がないかなあという感じで終りました。
結局このチェーンの売りは、安くて空いていること？なんていうのも悲しい感じですね。
