I had a drink with a friend in Shizuoka. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I searched for a restaurant that had taken measures against infectious diseases and found "Inaho". My friend told me that it used to be in Mabuchi and that he had visited it several times and that it was delicious. It is located on the second floor of Oracion Minamimachi III. There are five counter seats and one semi-private table in the back. The raised area is a sunken table that can seat about 12 people. It is Japanese modern and calm. The owner told us that there would be no customers anyway (due to the COVID-19 pandemic), so we should use the larger area. However, we refrained and sat at the sunken table for two. We ordered "Kirin Ichiban Shibori Draft Beer" for 600 yen. The appetizer was chicken meatballs boiled with chives and bean sprouts. The chicken meatballs had a refined and gentle taste. You can expect a restaurant with delicious appetizers. "Three-piece sashimi platter" for 800 yen. It was tuna, octopus, and squid. It was high-quality sashimi, and the octopus in particular was boiled but still fresh. The onions on the garnish were also delicious. "True whelk sashimi" I was advised to serve it with wasabi soy sauce or salt and pepper. The whelk with liver attached was cut into small pieces and easy to eat. It had a nice crunchy texture without any bad smell. It was also delicious with salt and pepper. I preferred this one. "Yam and okra salad" (small) 350 yen There was a larger size for 700 yen, but for two people the small size was perfect. Okra and yam with thin slices of mizuna and lettuce underneath. It was lightly enjoyed with Japanese dashi. The sticky and crunchy texture was enjoyable. "Grilled cod milt with garlic" 800 yen One portion was served in half. (The photo shows half a portion) The soft and creamy milt had a subtle yet fragrant aroma of soy sauce. And the slightly cooked garlic had a nice aroma, which was delicious! Here I ordered the Japanese sake "Masayuki Dry Junmai" 550 yen. I was asked if I wanted a sake bottle or a glass, so I chose two glasses. A chaser was also served. It came in a stylish, long glass. "Japanese-style soup stock with stewed beef tendons" 500 yen This was also served in half. (The photo shows a half-portion) In a refined Japanese-style soup stock, the tendons, which can sometimes have a strong smell, are stewed until they are soft and flavorful. This dish shows the chef's skill. "Tachiuo Negima" 450 yen The tachiuo is skillfully cut into pieces with spring onions sandwiched between them (see photo). The combination of the crispy, softly grilled tachiuo and the fragrant, crunchy spring onions is outstanding. This is a refined and delicious dish served at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also good, so I think it would be good for entertaining. Thank you for the meal.
