Tokoma Shusen Club @ From the Tap Well, it was exactly 5pm when we left "Heso". We walked to the main restaurant nearby. Then we encountered a male staff member carrying a sign from the top of the building. That was the sign. The name of the restaurant was long, "Tokoma Shusen Club Fish Club", but maybe it was wrong. Personally, I love easy-to-understand restaurant names like "Heso". The restaurant seems to be on the third floor of the building, and there is no sign, so it's hard to get lost. The selling point of the Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) is that, as the sign says, every seat is equipped with a tap for drinking alcohol. First, we went up the long staircase. Since it was just after opening, there were no customers yet. We were asked if we had a reservation, and we answered that we didn't. We were then safely guided to our table. Looking at the sign, we saw that there were taps lined up on the wall of each seat. Each one had a name written on it, from the right: whiskey, vodka, barley shochu, potato shochu, and ko-rui. First, the waiter will teach you how to order. This restaurant uses a mobile order system, which is popular these days. And the only drink option is all-you-can-drink. There are two options, with or without draft beer, and the cheapest option was 1,000 yen for two hours without draft beer. It's cheap because it's all-you-can-drink for two hours. First, a full rice bowl of ice was brought out. However, this mobile order is a little tricky to use. This is because it monopolizes your smartphone, so you can't use it during that time. And since there are no paper menus, it's hard to know what kind of snacks are available. There were many tables like this lined up in the restaurant. After successfully ordering the all-you-can-drink option, the first thing that came out was the appetizer. However, this appetizer (550 yen including tax) was a surprise, because it was a lively raw prawn. As expected, the shell had been peeled off, but I tore it off and ate it with soy sauce. Then a glass was brought out. I was asked to put ice in it. The bamboo ice tongs that came with it were small and difficult to use. I took it to the tap on the wall. The first thing I ordered was "Barley Shochu". When I turned on the tap, the shochu trickled out. As expected, the water pressure was low, but it's good that it can be adjusted. Since it's the first time, let's put in a little and see how it goes. When you place your order, the store will bring you the mixer. We chose carbonated water. It came out in a 1-liter plastic bottle. This is carbonated water from the business supermarket. While we were drinking, adding more, the snacks came out. First, the stone-grilled liver. This is raw beef liver with sesame oil. The staff grilled it with the gas burner that they brought with them. Of course, liver cannot be eaten raw, so the rule is to grill it thoroughly before eating it. Please note that this is in the middle of grilling. It was the best fresh liver I had eaten in a long time. This store seems to have a wide selection of raw foods. Then the oden came out. It wasn't on a skewer, but it was in the style of Shizuoka oden. We ordered two daikon radishes, konnyaku, and black fish cake. It was a shame that there was no mustard, but I guess this is the default. And at this point, I finally realized that we could choose syrup for free. Since it was a mobile order, it was hard for beginners to notice unless they looked carefully. There were no warning signs on the wall, so you had to find it yourself to get anything. We chose Vice and plum, but it was a similar combination. We ordered another shot chu and poured soda into it. This bottle is quite large, so you can drink a lot. Then we poured Vice and added more soda. This Vice Sour is complete. It's quite easy to drink and has a dangerous aroma. After this, we continued drinking in the same way, and about 45 minutes passed. However, no other customers came in during that time, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Then, just before 6pm, a group of customers who had made a reservation finally came in. There were about three groups, and finally about half of the restaurant was filled. Interestingly, all the customers were young groups of men and women. I wonder if they were all trying to take Instagram-worthy photos. We went at our own pace and drank from the tap. We tried barley, potato, ko-rui, vodka, and of course whiskey. The shotoes were not too strong, so they were probably 20% alcohol, but if you eat a lot, you can get quite drunk. We wanted some more snacks, so we ordered some sashimi towards the end. This restaurant didn't have a last order rule, so we could drink as much as we wanted until the end of the time. Still, it was two hours, so we got quite drunk. Finally, it was time to pay the bill. This time, we limited the snacks, so it was quite cheap. The snacks were of high quality, but the price was a bit high. The system was mobile ordering, but we paid in cash. Thank you for the meal.
