結婚以来大型連休なか日のランチに毎年フレンチをいただく日を設けるようにしています。はじめは海外挙式の後に身内で食事会をした神谷町ホテルだったのですが、再開発で姿を変えてしまったことなどもあり、その後は数年前から人生経験も兼ねて都内のレストランめぐりをはじめました。
と言うことで、今年はこちらのベージュ アラン・デュカス東京。ご存知のとおり、銀座CHANELビルの10階です。
妻がCHANELのバッグも持ってないなどと気にしていたことなどまったく意に介さず、スーツ男性が開けてくれたエレベーターを上がると、天井高く抜けるようなスペースのベージュ東京に辿りつきました。
さて、食べログではありますが、それぞれの料理を細かく解説するほどの力量もないので、全体的な印象を。
たしかに場所柄海外観光客の方が多く、ドレスコードが寂しく感じられると言うことも否めませんが、周囲をあまり気にしなければ、巨匠アラン・デュカス監修のそれぞれの料理は、見た目の華やかさだけではなく、素材とマッチした的確な調理とソースにより、充分幸せを感じられるものでした。
ただひとつだけ、鴨の火の入りがあまく、それが狙いだとすれば、筋を感じさせる原因にもなっていて少し残念ではありましたが。
ギャルソン、ソムリエの方々もダブルチームでカジュアルかつとても気持ちの良いご対応をしていただき、プリフィクスの前菜からデザートまでとても豊かな味わいのお料理をいただきました。
そして、最後のショコラのデザートは本当に絶品です。ギャルソンの方に、食中にもう一度説明をしていただいてしまいましたが、いくつもの素材を重ね合わせ、見た目も本当に美しいひと皿。
いくつか行きたいフレンチも多いので、数年したら再訪したいと思います。
