First visit. A Japanese cuisine restaurant located in a multi-tenant building in Higashi Ginza. At night, this restaurant serves course meals that are reasonably priced, but at lunch, you can enjoy well-prepared Japanese-style meal at a reasonable price. I'm also happy that they serve a reasonable lunch even on Saturdays. The store name comes from the owner's last name. The shop is located on the second floor of a small multi-tenant building right next to the famous Ramen shop ``Hachigo''. It's hard to enter at first because the shop name is not written on the noren (bitter smile). The shop is small with about 6 seats at the counter and 2 tables for two people. Actually, you can make reservations for lunch (you can only reserve seats from a certain monk's website), so I made a reservation for myself. Other customers also come with reservations. If you want to make sure you get in, it's safer to make a reservation. During my stay, the place was fully booked with only reserved guests. There is only one store clerk, the general manager. What a one-off job at Japanese-style meal restaurant!! There are several lunch menus, so it must be tough being the chef. So, you have to make tea yourself. Please refer to the image for the lunch menu. What I ordered was Salmon Ikura Sea Urchin Seiromushi (1800 yen). This is a limited edition of 10 meals, so if you want to be sure to try it, it's best to make a reservation early in the day for lunch. As mentioned earlier, it is a one-off operation by the general manager, so it takes a while for the food to be served. However, the food provided was worth the time it took. The main dish is steamed in a bamboo steamer, with grilled salted salmon flakes sprinkled on top of rice spread out in a steamer. Salmon roe and sea urchin seem to be on the back burner. The steam is almost rising and it looks delicious. First, just have a bite of rice. Hey, delicious food. The grainy rice has a gentle sweetness that comes naturally to the rice, as well as a slight umami that seems to come from the dashi stock. I thought it was plain white rice, but it looks like it was cooked in a light flavored soup stock. The rice itself seems to be of very good quality. Next, gently mix the ingredients and rice. By the way, I don't have a rice bowl or anything, so I eat it straight from the steamer. This is where I want you to prepare a bowl. The combination of just the right amount of saltiness and fatty salmon brings out the natural flavor of the rice. This is delicious (◍•ᴗ•◍) Salmon roe is also a good accent. As for the sea urchin...well, I think it's fine without it, but I think it would probably be better with the sea urchin. The sea urchin feels a little extra, but I think it's pretty good when you look at it as salmon harako rice. The best part is that the base rice is really delicious. Miso soup is an orthodox dish made with tofu and wakame. However, the flavor of the dashi and the aroma of the miso stand out, and the tofu is in good condition with no "su" in it at all. This is an orthodox but delicious miso soup that is properly made. What's more, you can refill it♪ There are 2 types Small dish. Jaco salad with ponzu dressing and mustard mentaiko. I'm concerned that the vegetables in the Jaco salad are a bit dry, but since the owner is a one-off shop, I think it's best to make them ahead of time. Honestly, the karashi mentaiko is hmmm ( ・ั﹏・ั) The steamed rice has a salty taste from the salted salmon and salmon roe, and the karashi mentaiko is even more salty. I would be happy if they prepared vinegared dishes or Shiaraae Vinegared dish here. Well, I wonder if this is also difficult for the shop owner to do one surgery. Pickles are light pickles. This makes a good chopstick rest between steaming steamers. The rice steamed in a bamboo steamer was more filling than it looked, so I was able to fill up my stomach. Although Small dish was a little rough, the bamboo steamer and miso soup were very delicious. The yellowtail sashimi and salt-grilled mackerel that other customers were eating also looked very delicious. There are many restaurants in Higashi Ginza with long lines for lunch, but you can come to Nakaji-san and enjoy high-quality food at a reasonable price without having to wait in line for lunch. You can also make reservations, so you don't have to waste your time. This restaurant can be called the dark horse of Ginza lunch. By the way, you can only pay for lunch in cash, so please be careful.
