May 3 Prologue: A close friend of mine used this place for the first time in February? and has been coming back, and strongly recommended it to me, saying that the taste and service are both excellent, so I decided to give it a try. I made a reservation for 1 o'clock (the previous appointment finished early), and entered the restaurant at 12:30. I was guided by a man in black named Ya.g. A sommelier named Ya.d asked me what I would like to drink, and I answered "cold water." Considering the size of the restaurant, there are a lot of staff, so I guess they aim to provide attentive service. However, I was left alone without being asked anything, and soon a male staff member named Yo came to bring me bread. [b:△□ Pain des Amis: The panda bread that my companion had praised so highly didn't seem so great after eating it. My companion said, "I always come here at 11:30, and it's freshly baked, so it's very delicious. Today it wasn't freshly baked, so I think that's why." I was left alone again, and my companion said, "I wonder if I ordered it when I made the reservation." After a long time, a man in black named Sh (finally) brought the menu. There are three courses: 5 plates for 16,500 yen, 4 plates for 13,000 yen, and an additional 24,000 yen. There is no a la carte menu. There are other options for fish and Meat Dishes, but you have to pay for them. The difference between the 5-plate and 4-plate courses is whether or not you get the "appetizer of the day." There is no mention of what the "appetizer of the day" is. When I asked Mr. Sh, he said it was the "local chicken egg with truffle" that was included in the 24,000 yen course, so I thought it was something like Chez Inno's (my favorite) boiled egg with truffle, so I went for the 5-plate course. [b: After a long pause (I was left alone), the amuse-bouche was served. □△ Hairy crab, jelly, yuzu pepper, mousse: It was quite good, and my expectations for what came next rose. There was another long pause. △□ Trout from the foot of Mt. Fuji and white asparagus, with a yuzu-scented mousseline: The trout was medium rare, close to rare, and chewy. The white asparagus was good. There was a bit of a gap. △(□) Free-range chicken eggs coated with truffles, green asparagus with a hint of plum: I was expecting Chez Inno's boiled eggs with truffle sauce, so I was a little disappointed. △(□) Green seaweed bread: There was another gap. △(□) Grilled Spanish mackerel and angelica wrapped in cherry blossom leaves: Looks excellent. There was another gap. The butter dish was cleared away, but no new butter was provided. They said they would serve three types of bread, but no third type was provided. Even after the water was empty, they didn't bring any more, so I ordered some myself. △(□) Roast lamb on the bone, served as a clam and seaweed salad: Not bad at all, but I left it to marinate... △(□) 6 kinds of small sweets △□ Traditional sweet Baba rum flavor: Brioche is poured with plenty of rum and topped with rum Ice cream right in front of you. △□ Iced cafe au lait (2:1 with more milk): There was no stirrer so I asked Mr. Sh. ] The chef stopped by to say hello. At first, I was impressed by the number of staff, but by 2:30, the number of staff had thinned out... I tried to ask for something but there was no staff. I raised my hand to ask for the bill, but the man in black clothes was walking nearby with his chest out and his head turned from side to side as if he was keeping an eye on me, but he didn't notice me at all! ? Was he pretending to keep an eye on me? He was like a paper tiger. A few minutes later, another staff member who had arrived noticed me and came over. Epilogue: A few seats away from me was a family of four, consisting of parents in their late 30s and two daughters about 10 years old. The two girls were extremely polite, and I was amazed to see such a family in modern Japan, where manners have deteriorated significantly. Just as I was leaving, the family also left, and I couldn't help but say to the father, who was waiting for them in the hallway as they had gone to the restroom, "I'm impressed that your children were so well behaved." I was also impressed by his response, "No, no, I'm just trying to please you." Epilogue 2: The person I recommended to them was disappointed, saying that the food and service were worse than before.
