Following on from fresh spring rolls and pho, we wanted to make the delicious Vietnamese Cuisine "Banh Xeo" widely known among the people of Japan, so we established "Banh Xeo Saigon Yurakucho Store". |
What is Banh Xeo? Some people may wonder. Banh Xeo, which is also in the name of this restaurant, is like a Vietnamese-style thin-skinned Okonomiyaki. It looks so big that you might be surprised and think, "Wow, can I eat that much?!" But don't worry, you can eat it lol. When I was traveling to Da Nang a long time ago, I happened to go into a restaurant that had Banh Xeo, and it was a great choice. Since then, I've ordered it every time I found it at a Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant, but I haven't been able to experience that excitement... And finally, I found that memorable Banh Xeo! ︎ That's a long introduction, but Banh Xeo Saigon Yurakucho is a Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant located on the first basement floor of ITOCIA in front of Yurakucho Station. When you step inside the restaurant, you feel like you've wandered into a Vietnamese food stall. They serve lunch until late, and there are many counter seats, so it's perfect for solo lunches. In fact, most customers were single. And the cold water they serve is lotus tea. I feel like I'm in Vietnam! ︎ ▫︎ Banh Xeo and Mini Pho Set 1,380 yen A lunch set of huge shrimp and pork banh xeo (still small size), chicken pho (small size), and dessert. First of all, the banh xeo, the size that will surely surprise those who eat it for the first time. But it has a thin and crispy skin, and it is surprisingly easy to eat because it is full of vegetables such as bean sprouts inside. And in my personal opinion, the crispness of banh xeo is very important. Maybe it depends on the region of Vietnam, but sometimes I come across a slightly crisp type. But here is the crisp type that I recommend! Wrap it in the accompanying raw vegetables and coriander, and eat it with sauce. Ahh, delicious ♡ Really delicious ♡ And chicken pho. It's so much in a small bowl. The bowl is certainly small size, but the contents are already enough for a small person? I think. Add a little fish sauce, add lemon, and eat it with coriander. Yes, it's delicious ♡ I'm happy to have a favorite Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant!
