A private Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with a wide variety of menu items, from fresh seafood to mountain produce. We have private rooms that can be used for a wide variety of occasions in Yurakucho. P |
My boss Kuido always takes me somewhere every weekend. Umino-chan and Bijojo-chan always have important things to do, like surfing or taking photos, so it's usually just me and the boss who go out somewhere. I love alcohol. So I often want to go to Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) or a yakitori restaurant, and today we went to the drinking district of Hibiya. This area is very lively with the opening of Tokyo Midtown, but there are still many long-established restaurants under the overpass. I saw a lot of atmospheric red lanterns, Standing bar, and beautiful neon signs. However, there was a strange restaurant that had two signs for the name of the restaurant even though it was one store. This restaurant was called "Wa-sui" and "Hibiki". It was along the train tracks near Yurakucho. "This restaurant has a completely private room." I went in as the barber explained, and was taken to a simple room separated by a wooden wall. However, the middle partition was a roller curtain, so the conversation between the neighbors was overheard, which may have been a bit of a problem for the couple who came in later. What I ate here was a bean sprout appetizer. It was a bean sprout dish with a slight aroma of dashi. But it was only a pinch with my chopsticks, so I ate it in no time! When you go to a restaurant on a whim, you often don't know how much it will cost, so the boss is a little excited. I wonder. The boss said, "The bill is fun!" While munching on the three-piece sashimi platter (1,290 yen / service charge and consumption tax not included), we talked about which Z-class Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) we should go to next. He said he'll take us somewhere else. So I'm looking forward to the after-party too~ I love Kuido's boss, but I really wish he would stop being so aggressive when it comes to the bill, saying "The bill is different from what we agreed on" and "I didn't hear about the extra charge." Kuido's boss says that he made sure there was no proper display and that he recorded the conversation on an IC recorder, so it's okay, it's okay, but I don't think that's the problem (true story). But. It's true that the price is quite high. Looking closely at the bill, I noticed that ◆Bean sprout appetizer... 490 yen each ◆Table charge... 500 yen each had been added. The waiter didn't explain anything to me. There was no mention of the charge on the menu. I wonder what the total cost of 1,980 yen is just for sitting down. And a 10% service charge was also added. Of course, the price is exclusive of tax, so the consumption tax was added, and the payment was x 1.1 x x 1.08. I was only in the restaurant for 50 minutes, but I paid 10,000 yen...and I didn't have any bills in the change. That's surprising. I guess I was charged about 1.6 times the expected price. So, even though a medium-sized mug of Premium Malt's looks like it's 650 yen on the menu, the actual price is 1,040 yen. Everyone, be careful. Thank you, Okapaso, for the review idea.
