新橋で何かお魚で飲もうということで、探してみると長屋というお店がありました。
早速、予約していってみるとなんとも雰囲気のあるお店。
烏森神社周りの呑み屋の雰囲気に溶け込んでいます。
席は一階のカウンター前のテーブル。
壁にはずらりと鰯メニューが並んでいました。
まずはビールで乾杯。
最初にビールにあう揚げ物でも頼もうかと、確かつみれ揚げと立田揚げを注文。
ビールに良くあう。
しかし、鰯ってもっと青魚臭い印象があったんだけど、ここのはほぼ無臭。
新鮮なんでしょうなあ。
ここいらで日本酒にチェンジ。地酒もそこそこそろってます。
ぬたと鰯しゅうまい、好物の梅肉はさみ揚げと注文して、
いい勢いで、お酒と食が進みます。
日本酒も２合目をたのみましたが、お銚子がいろいろな種類そろえてある様子。
楽しいじゃないか。
さらに日本酒に合いそうなものをと、頼んだのが鰯の梅煮。
いざいてみると、芽キャベツとかなにものかの洋野菜と一緒にでてきました。
見た目洋風ですが、お味はちゃんと絶妙な梅味。
鰯もほっこり、梅風味。
ふと気づくと、大将除いて店員さんは女性のみ。
結構若目の方が割烹着のような服で働いていらっしゃる。
昭和の雰囲気がここでもにじみ出ています。
そろそろ出ようかとお会計をしたところで、名物らしき鰯パンを食べていないのに気づきました。
聞いて見ると、鰯パンはお持ち帰りができるようです。
それでは包んでもらって自宅でいただきます。
翌日改めて鰯パンを開けてみると、鰯とトマトが入ったパンです。
いきなりイタリアン？
と、なかなか楽しませてくれたお店でした。
