活豊後サバ刺し（半身）（1,990円）
博多の皮串（190円）
新橋駅からSL広場を抜け、そして烏森神社前を当てもなく歩いていたところ、偶然発見したこちらのお店に飲み直しで訪問。店内は混雑気味でバタバタした様子が窺える中、予約していなかったものの２階のテーブル席に案内いただく。
こちらは九州のご当地料理を提供するお店であり、着席と同時に生ビールと博多の鶏皮串をオーダー。する明太子の３種盛がお通しとして到着。柚子漬けは清涼感があって爽やかで、昆布締めは旨味が深く、超辛はピリッとした辛味がビールにぴったり合う。このお通しは堪らなく旨い。
途中、店員さんから活豊後サバの刺し身をお勧めしていただき、お腹の具合を考慮して半身でお願いする。一度、生簀から挙げたてのサバを目の前で見せていただいた後に捌くライブ感がいい感じ。
皮串は香ばしく、甘辛のタレの旨味がコリコリぷるぷるの食感にマッチする。
そして暫くして豊後サバの捌き立ての刺し身が到着。サクサクした口当たりの身は新鮮そのもので、品の良い脂のコクと甘味が広がって抜群に旨い。このサバ刺しは絶品。ビールとの相性も抜群。
