Today is a one-month belated welcome/farewell party for members who were transferred in July. The venue is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) near Shinbashi Station. It's on the third basement floor. All-you-can-drink for three hours (isn't three hours too long????) Party course for 3,500 yen per person, starting at 6pm First up is simmered pacific saury with ginger?? "Isn't this just canned pacific saury?" "Sea bream dressed in vinegar and miso"... the flesh is limp... but it wasn't bad at all. It's a 3,500 yen course after all... The main dish is "Seafood hotpot with thickened sauce" What??? It seems to be inspired by the Chinese "scorched rice with thickened sauce"... Seems like it's cheap to make... It wasn't bad at all And the rice dish is "bara chirashi Sushi"... The rice isn't cut properly... But three hours is too long!!! It was a rather drawn-out party. Thank you for the meal
