銀座8丁目、中央通り沿いのビル（ろくさん亭と同じビル）5階にある17年5月にオープンしたワインバーに訪れました。インポーターを通さないカリフォルニアワインの品揃えが豊富で200以上あるそうです。こちらは食事もきっちり取れ、3日前迄に予約すれば予算に応じたコースも堪能できます。
ホイットニーヒューストンのハイトーンボイスが流れる店内は、ウオールナット一枚板のカウンター6席とテーブル10席、至ってシンプルな内装ではありますが眼下には中央通りの夜景が広がり、窓際席ならデートスポットとしても使えそうです。頂いたのは「6000円コース」とそれに合うワイン等、内容は以下の通りです。
「前菜盛り合わせ：パテドカンパーニュ/ヒラマサのカルパッチョ/自家製ピクルス」 ○・・・素朴な自家製パテカンに料理の力量も感じる。
「クロワッサン アーモンドクリーム添え」 ◎・・・店内で焼き上げるクロワッサンはサクサクで非常に甘みがあるタイプ。アーモンドクリームとの相性は抜群である。
「マッシュルームとトマトとバジルのスパゲティ」 ○△
「カナダ産豚肩肉のロースト バターと白ワインのソース＆ブドウマスタードのソース」 ○・・・しっとりとした肉質でミディアムレアな火入れが甘みを浮き立たせる。ブドウマスタードのソースと合わせると非常に美味。
「チーズ盛り合わせ：ミモレット/ロックフォール/白カビチーズ」 ○
これに合わせた飲み物は「シャルトリューズ（ヴェール）のソーダ割り」「'12 ピノN」「'14 カベルネS（アレキサンダーバレー）」「ソービニオンB」「'16 カベルネS」「'14 カベルネS（ナイツバレー）」「オールドパーの水割り」「テイクファイブ（シャルトリューズ＋ウオッカ＋ライムジュース）」「'78 カルバドス」であり、かなり満腹満足のヘロヘロ状態。お会計はひとり14000円程で、アルコール9杯を嗜んだ割に、そして銀座という事も勘案すれば非常に良心的価格と言えるでしょう。輸入業者を通さない分、良い意味で価格に反映させていると見受けました。
バーテンダー小針氏の所作は凛としてクールですが、人当たりの柔らかさも兼ね備えて居心地の良い時間を演出してくれます。銀座でダイニングバー/ワインバーというジャンルは競合店がやたら多いですが、ブランドより誠実さで勝負するという心意気は応援したいですね。
という事で、太陽燦々的なカリフォルニアワインがお好きなら、そして”名より実”という方にはお勧めしたい一軒であります。早い時間帯は比較的空いているとの事ですが、二軒目利用なら訪れる前に一本電話を入れた方が良いでしょう。
