I had lunch at a restaurant I had been interested in for a while. It's called ``Belgian Beer Antwerp Central'' and it's located in the basement of the Tokyo Building in front of Tokyo Station. There are terrace-like seats near the entrance to the basement of the building, and you can feel the spirit of the restaurant's well-constructed interior. The Manneken Pis statue next to the menu board in front of the entrance is also typical of Belgium. I asked for something called a boulet plate. Belgian-style meatballs, fries, and salad with bread. The menu says that the fries are made in Belgium, but the potatoes are probably not made in Belgium, so I assume they are Belgian fries. French cuisine fries instead of French fries are Belgian, and whenever Hercule Poirot was told he was French, he would always reply, "I'm Belgian." Belgium is also France without French people (lol). I get an iced tea for my companion and relax while waiting. People from nearby offices keep coming in and the store is lively. My cooking is also coming. First, I put away the salad covered in cheese sauce and moved on to the meatballs. The large, bite-sized meatballs have a unique texture. It's very easy to eat as it peels off with a bit of a paste-like feel. The aroma of spices and herbs is just right, and the tomato sauce has a bright, sour taste. It brings out the sweetness and flavor of the meat and is quite delicious. However, the main dish on this plate is probably fries rather than meatballs. Delicious and powerful. There must have been a lot of lard in the frying oil, and even though it's a potato, it smells like meat when you eat it. I guess you could say it smells like Croquette from a butcher shop in a shopping district...I can't help but worry about calories, but it's uncool to think about calories when faced with something delicious. I had a lot of fun.
