そんなに食べた記憶はないのだが、なぜか腹に溜まっている感覚がある状態で朝を迎えた連休前の出勤日。
朝メシを抜き、昼飯にどうかというのが、前日行った近くの〈88や〉に到る道筋に店を構えるこの店。通りすがった時に視界に入った「鯵三昧」というやつに興味を持ち、連日の魚だが、行くことにした。
先注文、先払い方式。席に着いてから注文が運ばれてくるまでの時間はさほどにかからず。ご飯の大盛りは無料。
「鯵三昧」は、とどのつまりアジのタタキ丼とアジフライを同時に味わえるやつ。これで「三昧」はやや過剰な気がする。まあ、丼に乗ったアジの分量はまあまあしっかりあるし、聊か旨みの薄いアジだが悪くはない。というか、卵黄や錦糸卵、海苔なども織り交ぜた丼は、大手町で1,000円という価格を考えれば上々な気もする。脇を固める脇役たちは味噌汁含めて可もなく不可もなく。抜群に感動するものではないのだが、けして悪くない。絶妙なお値段相応感。
ううん。店名と、なんだかカバみたいなマスコット？キャラクターの垢抜けなさで損しているな。また、漁港のイメージなのかやや雑然とした内装と、安い居酒屋的なチープさも相俟って、とにかく安っぽく見える。アジ丼とアジフライのセット程度で「鯵三昧」とか言っちゃうベタさも何だかチープ。サービス面その他はけして悪くないのに。
しかし、今の自分の環境におけるランチの手駒としては悪くないかな。ちょっと、追求してみよう。
