平日のランチタイムに1人で訪問。11:30過ぎに訪れると店内は満席で、階段を上がった2階にある入口にお1人並んでいました。私が並ぶとすぐに2人組が2組並ぶ人気店です。
待つこと5分程度、店内に通され、奥の4人掛けに案内されました。お席はカウンターが8席程、4人掛けが2つ、2人掛けが1つです。混み合うランチタイムに1人で4人掛け。恐縮です。
ホールの女性に、メニューを見ながら、オリジナルスープ、特選チキン野菜カリー、辛さは「2(中辛)」、ライスは「中」、トッピングは無しで注文しました。
まずはサラダとお水が到着。シャキシャキしたレタスを食べていると、数分後にスープカレーとターメリックライスが到着しました。
まずスープをいただきますが、もちろん中辛なのであまり辛くありません。まずはコク。すごい感じます。よくある薄っぺらいスープカレーは全く感じません。スパイスよりも強く、コクを濃厚に感じます。野菜はカボチャやタケノコ、ナス、水菜、玉ねぎなど12種類。そこに煮卵が半分乗っています。ちょっとびっくりしたのがポテトですが、大きいフライされたポテト！スープカレーが染みそうで染みないのが不思議です。
骨付きチキンは2つ入っており、お肉がスプーンでほろほろっと骨から取れます。ターメリックライスをスプーンに乗せてスープカレーに浸していただくと、ちょうどよい辛み。その後、汗がどっと出てきたので、改めてスパイスが効いていることを実感しました。
店内は常に満席で、お店を出ると階段の下まで大行列！今度はハンバーグをトッピングしてみたいです。ごちそうさまでした。また来ます。
