休日に娘と二人で日本橋散策。日本橋らしいランチを食べようとお店を探す。
ん？ 日本橋らしいって何だろう。何となく天ぷらや蕎麦など和風なものが良さそうな気がする。
それにしてもゴールデンウィーク中の都内は外国人観光客が多い。円安で世界中から観光客を引き寄せているし、日本人が海外旅行に行かない（高くて行けない）ので観光地でなくても人、人、人で溢れかえっている。
あー、こんなに円安になるなら外貨預金や外国株式を購入しておけば良かったな。と思っても後の祭り。円安の恩恵をほとんどの日本人は受けることが出来ない。ただ物価が上がるのを指をくわえて待つのみ。そういえば数年前まではランチで千円を超えるものなんて食べる気がしなかったが、今ではそんなこと言っていたらどのお店にも入れない。昔はワンコインランチなんてのどかなフレーズでデフレ競争を繰り広げていたな。懐かしい。
娘にきょとんとされつつそんな話をしながら日本橋を彷徨う。入店を決めたのは『五代目 花山うどん』という群馬のひもかわうどんの名店。日本橋高島屋S.C（新館）の裏側に立地。並んで食べることにする。
二人とも注文したのは“花山御膳”でひもかわうどんと釜めしがセットになっている。うどんは冷/温から冷を選択。釜めしは上州五目の小釜めしを選ぶ。
供されたうどんを見てびっくり。ひもかわうどんが幅広のうどんであることは知っていたが、この店自慢の“鬼ひも川”は幅が5cmもある堂々たる逸品。食べてみてさらにびっくり。噛んだ時のモチモチ感と飲み込む際ののど越しの良さが見事に両立している。素晴らしい。
お店の雰囲気も良く長く居たくなる。
楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来た。
