NYタイムズが発表した、今年行くべき場所の世界第3位に輝いた山口県。
地元民が困惑するも、山口県には世界に堂々とアピールする見所や食べ物が沢山ありますね。
五重塔や祭りは勿論ですが、私は角島や土井ヶ浜ビーチはハワイなんか行かなくても充分に満足出来るエメラルドブルーの海と素晴らしい景色が自慢と思います。
さて、ご当地名物瓦そばですが、海沿いや山道をドライブすると沢山のレストランで看板が上がっています。
東京でこのクォリティで楽しめる瓦そばは大変有り難い。
山口に行かずとも本場の味を堪能出来ます。
熱々の瓦にドンと乗った美しい茶そばはカリッと一部が焦げて辺りに香ばしい香りが漂い食欲をそそります。
温かいつゆに付けて頂きますが、お好みでレモンやもみじおろしを追加して風味を味わいます。
肉がつゆに染みてこれまた絶品。
錦糸卵や刻み海苔も良いアクセント。
途中柚子胡椒を投入して味変。
これは堪らない。青唐辛子の辛味と柚子の香りがつゆを別物に変えます。
最後は出汁で割って最後の一滴まで完飲。
いや〜。美味しい。
肉やそばは追加が可能で、限定20食は山口特産混ぜご飯付。
ワカメご飯は磯の香りが良く、ご飯も粒が立ってツヤツヤで美味しい。
