I turned left past Shibuya Police Station and found this place. I went down the stairs to the basement, and the ceiling inside the restaurant was very high! It seemed to be about two stories high. This Kyushu cuisine restaurant has a wide selection of alcohol. In addition to potato shochu, they also have about 10 brands of sake, mainly from the Kyushu region, and a good wine list. I was happy that they poured the shochu rocks to the brim. Also, Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year was 900 yen, which I think is cheap. For sashimi, I ordered whale and squid sashimi. The whale was fresh and had a strong flavor. It was very delicious with Kyushu's sweet soy sauce. The fried chicken was large and soft, and also delicious. While the food was mainly Fukuoka cuisine, such as sesame sea bream, Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), mentaiko, and Hot Pot pot, there was a Nagasaki Champon for the final dish, and many Saga brands of sake, so it seemed like they were serving Kyushu cuisine in general. Everything is delicious, there is a wide selection of alcohol, and the restaurant is spacious, so I think this is a hidden gem of an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in Shibuya that is very convenient. The price per dish is not cheap, but the portions are large, so it's good. It seems like it would be good for a fairly large group.
