お一人様歓迎、さらに朝２時までやっているフレンチが、ここLa Belle Brasserie moRiです。
昨年、開店当初に伺った時は「フレンチ」というよりも「多国籍バール」な雰囲気で（生ハムとかツマミが目立った印象）、いまいちピンと来るものが無かったのですが、しばらくぶりに訪問するとその内容はガラリ一変。
前菜からメインまでフレンチの技巧をつくした料理が多数増え、かつては22時以降限定だったカルトメニューも常時ＯＫに。
シェフはかつては恵比寿のタイユバンで修行し、フランス経験も数年間ある方ですし、「これはもう一度真剣に食べなきゃいかん」と、夜一人で訪問してきました。
豊富なカルトの中からいくつかチョイスして、印象に残ったのは次の二皿。
・白レバーのパテ
・羊肉の燻製のロースト
白レバーのパテは、肉の旨味をしっかり感じさせながらも、後味は想像以上にあっさりとしており、繊細な味わいをゆっくり舌の上で楽しめる上質な一品。また、パテに供された胡椒ソースは、優しい印象のパテに一気にパンチ力を与える強烈さで、一緒に口に運べば全く異なる味わいを楽しませてくれます。堅い仕事と、豊かな創造性を感じさせてくれる、素晴らしい一皿でした。美味い。
羊肉の燻製ローストはシェフのスペシャリテとのこと。「この値段でこの量！？」と思わせるほどのポーションの大きさに驚きつつ、瞬間燻製された羊肉の香りの豊かさ、肉自体のどっしりとした味わい、そして脂の凝縮された旨味に、一口食べればもう感嘆しきり。添えられた赤茄子の甘味も、やや塩気が強めの羊肉には良いアクセントになっています。最近胃腸が弱いので若干油っこいのが気になりましたが、他ではあまりお目にかからない羊肉の燻製には新鮮味を感じました。
他の料理もいくつか食べましたが、未食の中で食べたいものは「トリュフのリゾット」。
フレンチなのにリゾット？？と軽く驚きつつも、次回は必ず頼んでみたい気になる一品。
カウンターに座って調理プロセスを間近に見ることができるのも、このお店のウリの一つ。
気さくなシェフとの料理談義を楽しみながら、終電間際にフレンチをゆっくりと味わえる幸せが、現在の恵比寿には存在します。
これからドンドン大きくなること間違いなし！
