8月2日(水)13時訪問。店内繁盛していましたが、待たずに入れました。
新宿アルタ裏にある老舗レストラン。
ロールキャベツシチューがお店の看板メニュー。
私は25年位前に初訪。当時に比べてさすがに値段こそ上がりましたがお店の雰囲気はいい意味で昔のまま。
レトロな雰囲気が、今の若い人にはおしゃれに映るようです。
グループ用のテーブル席が中心ながら、一人席も充実しているのが特徴的です。
ロールキャベツシチュー2個とライスのセットが最もリーズナブルで1,030円。
その他洋食とのセットメニューも奇をてらわず評判が良いので、今回はポークカレーライスとロールキャベツシチューのセット1,530円をオーダー。
セットの場合、ロールキャベツは1個なのでもの足りないかな？と思いきやそんなことはありませんでした。
ロールキャベツシチューはオーダーしてからすぐにサーブされます。
ポークカレーはよく煮込まれ、豚肉も柔らか。辛さもマイルドで万人に愛される味。
粗挽きの合挽き肉で作られた肉団子を新鮮で甘いキャベツで包んだロールキャベツ。
肉肉しい肉団子はひとつでもボリュームたっぷりです。
シチューはいわゆるクリームシチューではなくて、コンソメスープや鶏ガラスープに近い味わい。
チキンスープでロールキャベツを煮込んでいるからかもしれません。
他のお店では味わえない、アカシアだけの唯一無二の一品です。
