2023年8月のとある土曜日の12時過ぎに訪ねた。
新宿三丁目駅から徒歩2分ほどのビル2階にある居酒屋「ぼんや」。
程好い広さの店内は3割程度客で埋まっていた。
カウンター席に1人で座り、ランチメニューから「天津風卵造り地鶏唐揚げのせ定食」¥950を注文する。ランチのバリエーションが豊富なのはありがたい。
10分ほど待って料理が提供される。
餡がたっぷりの天津風の玉子の上に唐揚げが乗ったメイン料理にサラダ、小鉢料理、ご飯、味噌汁、明太子、チーズアーモンドの組み合わせ。見た目から嬉しくなる華やかな定食。
まずはサラダをつまんで天津風玉子を味わう。それほど酸味は強くない餡がご飯に合う味に仕上がっている。
衣がカリッと揚がっている唐揚げにも餡を絡めて楽しむ。ジューシーで食べ応えのある唐揚げは満足度が高い。ミニトマトの酸味に合わせて食べても良い感じ。
小鉢料理のなすの煮浸しは何気に嬉しい存在。野菜多めの構成が嬉しい定食。
味噌汁にはワカメ、玉ネギ、ネギが入っている。玉ネギの甘みを感じながら味わう味噌汁にはどこか懐かしさがある。
天津風の唐揚げおかずにご飯を食べて、明太子もつまむ。バランス良く食べ進めていると満足感のあるボリュームであった。
なぜか添えられているチーズアーモンドのおかきを〆に食べて定食を完食する。
値段的に安くはないが、場所を考えると妥当と言わざるを得ない。カジュアルに利用する居酒屋でもあるので雑多な感じの店内で居心地はそれなりな「ぼんや」であった。
