Shinjuku West Exit - On a holiday, it's so crowded that it feels like a theme park. I thought about going for a drink at Omoide Yokocho, but gave up due to the number of people! I heard that if I walked a little further, there was a bar inside a building that was good value for money. So I went right in! I was asked if I had a reservation. I hadn't made a reservation, so I wondered if it would be crowded, but I was able to enter the bar smoothly. So, let's toast with a bottle of beer. Hmm? Stew is 98 yen? Let's order for the number of people. Chilled tofu, horse sashimi, fried chicken, radish salad. Grilled Chuhai (Shochu cocktail), and an assortment of skewers to share! Hmm? A bit sour with the chilled tofu? It seemed suspicious, so I ordered a chuhai (350 yen). Ham cutlet with plum and cucumber. Deep fried cartilage. Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles)!! We had fries for the finale, and as we were getting drunker, we were shocked when we heard the bill: 21,000 yen... For three people? Oh well, we paid quickly... It was a little pricey after all, wasn't it? But by the time we realized it, it was too late (Ahh, we didn't get a receipt). In the end, the bill came to 7,000 yen per person. Considering the amount of food, we didn't think it was particularly good value for money. We probably won't be returning. Thank you for the meal.
