After a meeting in Shinjuku, I will have dinner with seven people from 8pm. It's December. Even though it's a weekday, many restaurants are full in December. But today is Friday. Seven more people. I thought that no place will be able to get in. In fact, every restaurant we went to was full. After the end of the corona virus, Shinjuku has been in a big mess with the recent weak yen and inbound tourism. I wonder if some restaurants can make up for the negative effects of the corona era. I finally found this place. The group left before I could enter, so I was able to enter. It's wonderful. This building is in a great location on the corner of the main intersection at the west exit of Shinjuku. I can't help but think that the rent must be ridiculous. The atmosphere of the restaurant is pure Japanese Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) style. This kind of restaurant is good for drinking with everyone without having to be pretentious. We all toast, eat food, and drink again. Even if there's nothing special going on on a Friday night in Shinjuku, it's kind of exciting. It reminded me of the old days. It was fun.
