令和に復活の昭和時代の知る人ぞ知る味。香り高いチキンに思わず箸がすすみます。
またまた松屋から期間限定の商品を楽しみました。
チキン定食肉４枚盛り(780円)・ご飯特盛り
牛めしのチェーン店・松屋で幻の商品といわれる「チキン定食」。
平成を飛び越えて令和の時代に復活するとの事で早速いただいてきました。
店頭の広告の写真で見る限り丸くカットされたそのルックスはチャーシューのよう。さて実際のお味はいかがなものなんでしょうか。
新宿西口の店舗はセルフサービス制。券売機で食券を購入するとオーダーがキッチンに入り、番号が呼ばれるのを待つスタイル。
待ち時間５分もかからず商品が出来上がりました。
厚さ2~3㎜の鶏チャーシューが４枚きれいに並び、その上に炒め玉ねぎの醤油ダレが小気味よくかかっているという感じです。
早速実食。
味わいは見た目通り、ローストされた香りと食感が感じられる鶏チャーシューといった具合でした。
実際に鶏肉自体をローストしているのではなく、炒め玉ねぎの香りが香ばしさを演出しているといった具合なのでしょうが、タレのキレのある塩っけとも相まって白飯に箸はどんどんすすんでしまい、メインはこのチャーシュー風の鶏肉のみにも関わらずキャンペーンで無料で特盛にしたご飯も完食。
それくらい旨味にあふれた逸品でした。
生野菜はさっぱり感と鶏肉に足らなかったタレの風味を求めてポン酢の酸味を楽しみながら食し、こちらも難なく完食。
令和5年現在は並の3枚盛りで680円とのことですが、発売当時はおいくらだったのか気になるうまさです。
鶏肉をロール状にするなど、昭和の時代には結構手間のかかる美味しさで、それ故に販売が一時ストップしたのではないでしょうか。
機械化が進んだ今、今後は定期的に復活を望みます。

A limited time menu from Matsuya. Another local gourmet from around the world is here. I was attracted by an advertisement I found in front of Matsuya and went in. Following the Georgian Shkmeruli hotpot, which has appeared in many products both at Matsuya and abroad, there are other local dishes from around the world. This time, a Southeast Asian dish has been introduced, an arrangement of the Malaysian beef stew "rendang". You buy a ticket from the ticket machine and your meal arrives in about 5 minutes after you sit down. Only at Matsuya can you get food served this quickly. The reddish appearance is curry itself. You might suspect that it's just beef curry, but Matsuya Foods is dedicated to developing new menus every day. The taste will not disappoint. The image of the taste is Thai green curry. The coconut milk is well-balanced. However, chicken is the standard for green curry. If you're wondering whether beef goes well with that creamy roux, this is an exquisite taste. They probably use spices to adjust the flavor, but they use fatty parts of the beef, and the melting texture of the fat and the refreshing aroma of coconut are well combined. It goes well with rice, and the rice is already in my stomach. This is a limited time menu that you can only enjoy now. Why not try it in the coming warm season?
