オーツは、ある晩、新宿西口にある京王プラザホテル内にある個室でレストラン「デュオフルシェット」のディナーを食べることになりました。

本当のレストランはホテルの２階にあるようですが、コロナ禍の現在、そちらは営業しておらず、４４階だけが営業しているとのことでした。２階で調理して４４階まで運ぶのでしょうかね。
４４階の会場からは都内の夜景がとてもよく見えました。東京スカイツリーや東京タワーが見えます。暗い夜にたくさんのビルの灯りがキラキラしていて、普段見ることがない景色なので、飽きずにながめていました。
この日のメニューは、あとから調べると、NOEL（「E」にウムラウト「¨」付き）という12月限定メニューでした。ノエルというのはフランス語でクリスマスのことです。サービス料・税金込で一人20,000円だそうです。「クリスマスに合わせた食材をお楽しみいただける期間限定フレンチディナーコース」と銘打っていますが、なるほど、確かにそういえばそうです。
なお、個室「アキテーヌ」の室料18,000円が別途かかります。
メニューは以下の通りでした。
小前菜：季節のアミューズ・ブーシュ
冷前菜：カナダ産オマール海老のサラダ、ブイヤベースをイメージして
温前菜：フランス産鴨フォワグラのポワレ ピスタチオ風味、蕪のロティに薔薇が香るソース
魚料理：クエのポッシェ、ソース アルベールと焦がしバター風味のサバイヨン
グラニテ：お口直しのグラニテ
肉料理：国産牛ロース肉の網焼き、冬の根菜にボルドレーズソース
デザート：クリスマスリースに見立てたスペシャルデザート、ローズマリーが香る苺のポワレ添え
コーヒー・小菓子
いくつかの料理は、「クロッシュ」（皿に載せた料理全体を覆う蓋）付きで運ばれてきて、テーブルで一斉にそれが外される形でした。
それぞれの料理がおいしくて、満足しました。
オーツが気になったのは、テーブルの上にあったメニューで日本語とフランス語がかなり違う点があったことです。「カナダ産オマール海老のサラダ、ブイヤベースをイメージして」に対応するフランス語は「Homardpocheensalade,pommedeterre,geleedesoupedepoisson」（pocheのeとgeleeの２番目のeはアクサンテギュ「´」付き）となっていました。「pommedeterre」（じゃがいも）の部分は日本語で無視されていますし、「geleedesoupedepoisson」は「魚のスープのジュレ」くらいに訳すところかと思いますが、「ブイヤベースをイメージして」は全然違います。
もう一つ、白ワインを飲んだグラスにウェイターがそのまま赤ワインを注いだことも気になりました。普通はワイングラスを替えるものでしょう。
数人の会食スタイルで、シャンパンで乾杯し、白赤のワインも何本かあけましたから、支払いは相当な額になったでしょう。ちょっと個人で支払うのは躊躇するような金額だったでしょうね。某団体がごちそうしてくれたものです。ありがたくいただきました。
