新宿歌舞伎町、ゴジラビル内。マグロ初セリでは、すしざんまい、やま幸、板前寿司3社で争われることも多く有名。
当然お店の売りはマグロとなり、マグロメニューが充実している。ターゲット層が外国人でもある為、英語メニューや変わり種も各種ある。店内は綺麗だが、かなりオープンな設計で店員さんが全体を見渡せる設計の為、客同士も面割れ確実。接待やこっそり利用には不向き。飲み放題コースが5000円～と寿司屋さんにしてはハードルが極度に低い為、客層も全体的に若い。
今回はアラカルト利用。
「海鮮ばくだん」（ねぎとろ・サーモン・ズワイガニ・とびっこ・玉子・数の子・納豆・甘エビ・たくあん）をまぜまぜ。海苔に巻いて食べると納豆ベースの味に各種甘味・うま味が膨らんで初めての味ながらまた食べたいお品。
「いかキムチ」混ぜ合わせればチャンジャのようになるのだが、いかを刺身として食べるのも〇。
「カニみそサラダ」サラダと言いつつほぼ野菜なし。レタスの上にカニ身を敷き詰め、たっぷりのカニみそをかけた上にマヨネーズという構成。当然うまい。
「まぐろユッケ」流石マグロ押し。牛肉のように赤く光るマグロブツを玉子で和えて海苔巻きでパクリ。特性ダレの甘みも加わりお刺身でたべるのと違い新鮮。ちなみに、このマグロを海鮮ばくだんと食べるとさらに美味い。
「鉄火巻き」マグロ赤身がぎっちしと入っており、海苔の風味も加わるのでマグロのおつまみとしておすすめ
カウンターの高級鮨店・常連集う町寿司とは異なり、一見さんでも肩ひじ張らず友人と海鮮を楽しめる。同価格帯の本格寿司店の美登利寿司より空いており利用のハードルも低いのでお寿司を安く気軽に利用するには最適のお店の一つ。
