Kabukicho, Shinjuku on a Sunday night. I hadn't decided where to eat dinner, so I searched Tabelog for a restaurant that I thought I could go to at this time on Sunday, and I came across a restaurant called "Shunsai." I went there without a reservation, thinking it wouldn't be full during the coronavirus pandemic, and...oh no...it's closed...I saw a sign across the street saying it was open, so I decided to visit. A private room for two people on the second floor. The chicken ham salad and shijima soup tasted really good. Recommended menus include raw Oyster from famous places like Akkeshi and Shima, and Japanese sake like Shinsei and Houou Mita. There aren't many items on the standard menu, such as sashimi, horse sashimi, and salads, but they all look delicious. Let's eat~ Raw Oyster, Maruemon from Akkeshi. Usually delicious. The salad is a bit strong. The horse sashimi was pretty average. The sashimi platter...sea bream, flounder, striped horse mackerel...cultured fish, tuna, flatfish...I think it's below average.The order is placed on a tablet, and the names of Oyster and sashimi platter are all written on a small wooden board.The young waiter just silently arranges them on the table. No... The private room is nice, and I'm satisfied with the sake I got from Shinsei and Houou Mita, but the food is mediocre. I didn't feel anything about the service...the only good thing was that the restroom was clean. Thank you for the delicious meal.
