クライアントとの会食で、指定された「個室和食 東山 新宿本店」さんにお邪魔しました。場所は、東京都庁の南隣に建つ新宿NSビルの29階です。
全席が個室になっていて、部屋からは新宿副都心の夜景が一望出来ます。今夜は「すき焼き会席」のコースで、まずは生ビールで乾杯しました。コースの内容は以下の通りです。
♦︎前菜 桜湯葉豆腐
♦︎造里 鮪・鯛・烏賊炙り
♦︎鍋物 黒毛和牛すき焼き 一人鍋
♦︎揚物 名物蟹甲羅揚げ檸檬添え
♦︎強肴 蟹酢
♦︎食事 絹女稲庭うどん 鯛潮豆乳仕立て
♦︎甘味 デザート
料理は一品ずつ、和服の女性が個室に運んで来てくれます。量的にはそれ程多くはありませんが、質的にはきちんとしていて、素材もそれなりに良いものが使われていました。
ドリンクも一通り揃っていて、途中からは日本酒にしました。今夜は「日高見 超辛口純米」「陸奥八仙 特別純米」「黒龍 純米酒」といただきましたが、食中酒に向いた銘柄ばかりで、この品揃えはいいですね。
そしてメインの「黒毛和牛すき焼き 一人鍋」の和牛はＡ４等級のサーロイン。確かに柔らかくて美味しいですね。ただ、肉は一人前100gしかないので、二度お代わりしてしまいました。関東風の割したを使ったすき焼きで、だからこそあっさりと食べられます。
全体的には、雰囲気や格式を非常に重視している空間が提供されており、しかも相応なレベルの料理やお酒もあり、いかにも接待や会食向きのお店でした。立地も良く、しかも夜景も素晴らしいですし、何よりも周りの目を気にせずに過ごせるのは、個室ならではの効用ですね。あまり機会はありませんが、取引先との会食の際には使えそうなお店でした。
