コロナ流行ですっかり自粛モードの東京、しかも朝から季節外れの大雪で、お正月以上に人気がない新宿。まるで映画のワンシーンみたいな街を抜けてご飯を食べに行ってきました。
西口の繁華街外れにあるお店又吉、カニやすき焼きを楽しめるそうなので、寒い日にちょうどよさそう。熱燗をキュッと飲みながらすき焼き突きたい。
お店の中は個室なのでコロナも安心。まずは熱燗と茶碗蒸しから。寒い日には温まるお料理が身に染みる。つい数日前までは夏日なんて言ってたのに。人心地着いたところで、お造りを。マグロの中トロが柔らかくて美味しかった。
さてメインのすき焼き。体が暖まっても目の前でクツクツお鍋が煮たってると、ついつい手をかざして暖まりたくなる今日の寒さ。桜が満開なのに大雪って。。。でも、桜に積もる雪は風情があって良いものでした。自粛を促す意味でも良いのかな。
出来上がったすき焼きと熱々の熱燗で乾杯。お肉を食べて、お酒を飲んで、染み渡るー。すき焼きを食べる機会って普段なかなかないので、たまに食べるとすごく美味しく感じます。椎茸、白滝、ネギなどの具材も味が染み込んでいい感じ。
最後は春を感じさせる竹の子の炊き込みご飯。すっかり冬に逆戻りしていますが、もう春の山菜がボチボチ出てくる時期。実家近辺だと竹の子はゴールデンウィークあたりがシーズンなのでまだまだ先ですが。今年はコロナのリスクがあるからゴールデンウィークの帰省も自粛かな。
すっかりお腹もいっぱいになり、体もぽかぽかに暖まったので最後にお茶を頂いて終了に。お店を出る頃には雪も止んでましたが、街は静かなまま。早くコロナが終息して、普段の生活に戻れるといいですね。
