西伊豆直送の魚、さらに肉料理を楽しめる店舗だ。店内に入ると、さながら都会の中の海の家といった雰囲気を楽しめた。
SNSで海の家をモチーフにし、魚介系の料理を楽しませてくれる飲食店を見つけた。
良質の飲食店が点在する西新宿7丁目でも、新宿警察署近くで職場からだとかなり距離はあった。
ある晴れた昼時、意を決して利用することにした。
小滝橋通りを新宿西口方面へと歩き、途中目印にした店の角の路地に入り、さらに青梅街道に向かう路地へと左に入った。この道を使うと、かなり近道になるはずだ。常円寺の角を曲がり、大ガードに向かって青梅街道に面した舗道を少しばかり歩いた。
店舗は地階にあるが、建物入口には写真入りメニューが立て掛けられ、すぐに目的地と分かる。
メニューを見ると、限定ランチ、ワンコインランチもあり、いずれもご飯、味噌汁のお替りは無料とある。
階段を下り、店内に入ると客で結構賑わっている。店舗のブログでは、閑古鳥が鳴いて暇なようなことが書かれていたので、一瞬戸惑ってしまった。
気を取り直して、入口すぐの若い男性スタッフにひとり（客）であることを告げた。
どうやら料理を決め先に注文をして、会計を済ませるようだ。“銀鮭ハラス”と迷ったが、結局“ほっけ”にした。
会計を済ませると、“番号札”を渡された。出来上がると札の番号が呼ばれるので、料理を調理場に取りに行くよう説明された。
ご飯と味噌汁はお替り出来るが、店内中央にコーナーが用意されているのでグラスの水同様、自分で取るようだった。
“その”コーナーそばの空いていたテーブル席に座り、着ていたジャケットを置いた。
直ぐにコーナーに行き、グラスに水を入れて番号を呼ばれるのを待った。
焼き魚にも関わらず、思いの外早くに番号を呼ばれた。おそらく、軽く火入れしているのだろう。
改めてコーナーに行き、ご飯と味噌汁を盛った。
焼き魚は、良い色合いに焼き上げられている。しかもかなり大きくて、食べごたえがありそうだ。
箸を入れると、簡単に身がホグレた。脂がしっかりと乗って、期待以上に楽しめた。ご飯と味噌汁が無くなったので、お替りをしよう。
そもそもコーナーでセルフとするのは、人件費を浮かせるメリットはある。ただ、不特定多数の客が触れるのは、この時期、気にはなるところだ。
美味しい焼き魚定食で提供も早く、ビジネスランチには最適だと思う。客入りから、人気のほどは分かった。
近隣には本店があるので、そこもいずれ利用してみたい。
