I visited Soulmate Beach, which is located 6 minutes walk from the Shinjuku West Exit and just under the Shintoshin Pedestrian Bridge. This is a restaurant based on the concept of an urban beach house where you can enjoy grilling and BBQ. There is a wide variety of lunch options, starting from 500 yen. They also had aburakasu udon and meat soup, which are rare in Tokyo, so this time I ordered the ``aburakasu udon set meal'' (850 yen). It's self-service, but you get unlimited refills of rice and miso soup! Moreover, they also prepared tenkasu and soup stock for tencha. First of all, what is “aburakasu”? It is said to be Local Cuisine that has been eaten in the Minamikawachi region of Osaka since ancient times. Beef intestines are slowly fried in oil to remove excess oil and concentrate the flavor of the meat, making it a highly nutritious food. The udon soup stock is also gentle and exquisite. It's been a while since I received it.
