南新宿にある「Craft Curry Brothers BASE」でキーマカレー1,100円を食べた。住宅街の中にあり、目標となるものが無く見つけ難いカレー屋。
キーマカレーは大変美味しかったので、会計時に店主に話しかけてみると、「めちゃめちゃ良い肉を5ミリに挽いてもらっている」とのこと。挽肉の塊が大きく不揃いのところもあり、弾力のある肉は生きているというか活力がある。玉ねぎのみじん切りも半生でシャキシャキしている。カレーは甘口で、卓上のガラムマサラで辛さを調整するとのことだが、かけ過ぎ注意とある。温玉を崩して混ぜると、さらに甘くまろやかになる。
注文は、スマホでQRコードを読み込むと、LINEに飛んで注文画面が出てくる。会計はpaypayを選んだが、こうした方式が増えて来ていると実感した。
