昔お世話になった先輩が美味しい水炊きを食べさせてくださるとのことで、久しぶりに新宿に出た。
冬に色々な種類の鍋が食べられるのは日本ならではの食の楽しみだと思う。インドのカレーと同じで「鍋料理」ほど地方色と美味しさのバリエーションが楽しめるのは中々他国料理にはない醍醐味だろう。
九州に住んでた頃はよく博多で水炊きを食べたのだが、首都圏に戻ってからは別な鍋しか食べる機会がなかった。
今回新宿の老舗名店で久しぶりに頂いた水炊きは絶品で、食べる機会を絶やしていた事が悔やまれる美味しさだった。
最初に頂いたスープから鶏のコクと旨味が素晴らしく、続けて頂いた伊達鶏骨付き肉の柔らかさと弾力性が相まった食感は他の鍋料理とは異なる水炊きならではの美味しさ。
鍋以外の料理も何れも綺麗で美味しく、下戸の先輩がノンアルビールを飲まれる前で一人で頂いた日本酒も絶品でした。（N先輩、すみません）
店の内観とサービスも素晴らしく、自分も是非使わせて頂きたいお店だった。
