本格ネパールカレーの店
店内はエスニックな雰囲気で、民族音楽が流れていた。座敷の席に座らせてもらったが、大久保通りが見下ろせて居心地がとてもいい。
マトンカレーのセットと、チキンカレーのセットを注文
食べた瞬間かなり辛いのが分かるが、同時にスパイスと肉の旨味が広がる。マトンは特有の臭みがあるが、しっかり肉の旨味が残ってる。
マトンカレーは激辛だが、チキンカレーは辛くない
何より、ごはんはインディカ米だが、日本人向けに水分量を多めに炊いてあり、美味しい。
こういう本格派の店は、本場に合わせて米がパサパサに炊いてあることが多く、それで大部分を台無しにしてしまっているが、このお店はその心配がない。
付け合せもおいしく、かなりクオリティの高い店。
スパイスは6,7種類のものを使っているとのこと。
ごはんが美味しかったので、店員さんに聞いてみたところ、他店よりいい米を使っているとのこと。
加えて、炊くときにギーを使っているらしい。
