On this day, I went to Ikebukuro with my companion. I headed to Ikebukuro's west exit, which is located underground just after entering Romance Street. When I went down the steep stairs and entered the store, the clerk welcomed me with a bright smile. It opened in 2012, and this year will be its 12th year. I've been eating and drinking in Ikebukuro for a while, but this was my first time. It's Bistro with a casual atmosphere, and I used to go to restaurants with this kind of atmosphere a long time ago, so it feels somewhat nostalgic. First, we toasted with Organic Food sangria with red soda and beer. What we received on this day - Assorted Prosciutto 880 yen - Chicken stew with garlic and cheese 880 yen - Fresh pasta with fisherman's tomato sauce 1480 yen -Ajillo with mushrooms and scallops 780 yen - Garlic toast (2 pieces) 300 yen - Anchovy potatoes 600 yen Yen Everything was delicious, but the ones that stood out to me were the chicken stew with garlic and cheese and the fresh pasta with fisherman's tomato sauce. Chicken simmered in garlic and cheese is an irresistible combination of softly simmered chicken, melty cheese, and a punch of garlic. Balsamic sauce is a nice accent. The portions are small, so you'll want to eat the whole thing by yourself. Fresh pasta with fisherman's style tomato sauce is filled with mussels and clams. The chewy fresh pasta goes well with the tomato sauce and is delicious! The tomato sauce was richer than I expected, which I liked. It's a restaurant that specializes in fresh pasta, so it's a must-try. The garlic toast made with natural yeast bread has a strong hint of garlic, giving you the illusion of being in a garlic house. I like it (lol).Actually, my Ajillo would have liked shrimp, but I didn't like it, so I chose scallops, and the scallops were plump and delicious. The anchovy potatoes were so crispy that the anchovies soaked in so well that I couldn't stop crunching them and devoured them in no time. I ended up with only dishes with a hint of garlic, but I think people who like garlic will find them irresistible. No, the one we chose just happened to be that one, and there are many others. The staff members were young, but they were all very nice. The store was busy with people coming in after us. It seems to be open from 3pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. This time, the a la carte and three drinks cost just over 4,000 yen per person, but the all-you-can-drink course is also reasonable at 4,600 yen. It's close to the station and convenient, so I'd like to visit again.
