僕は、席案内に対して過敏すぎるのかも知れない。
平日、夕刻16時頃。
どうみても、この池袋ルミネのレストラン街は、ごく一部の店を除いてガラガラである。
別階に用事があり、久々にルミネのレストラン街「イケレス８＆９」に来た。
目新しい店ができていて、２つの丼を一気に食べられるセットメニューが気になり入店した。
しかし、席案内である。
右奥の方の席はあまりよくわからなかったのだが、おそらく埋っていたとしても１，２割だろう。
左側の方の席へ誘導されたが、先客ゼロ。
にもかかわらず、２人掛けの狭い席が割り当てあられる。
ソレも、右側が壁。
このシチュエーションが、どうも苦手なのである。
僕が店の経営者だとしても、人気店だったりとか時間帯によっては、そういう判断をするかも知れない。
１人客を４人掛けテーブルに座らせ、３，４人の団体客が来たとき、待ちの状態では、客を逃しかねない。
でも、いつも思うのだ。
予約が入っているとかなら話はわかるのだが、この席案内の方法は、現に来店している客よりも、その後来るか来ないかわからない客に優しい、想定利益優先主義のシステムなのではないか？と。
また、17時半ぐらいなら、これから夜客が来る繁忙時間帯だろうからしぶしぶながら納得できる。
しかし、16時。
僕にとっては、概ねの他店でも、一番ゆっくりと食べられる時間帯なのである。
度々書いているが、僕自身、どちらかと言えばガタイがデカい方である。
Yシャツのゆき丈で言えば86cmである。
だから、案内された席に座っても、結局、左側の空間まで身体が飛び出してしまう。
いや、身体がデカいのは、僕自身の問題であり、お店側に何ら問題があるわけではない。
ただ、…思ってしまうのだ。何故に、ガラガラ、先客ゼロで…。
極論、例えば、白鳳が来店した場合などはどうなんだろう？
いっそのこと、僕自身が、デカいですよ、とアピールするべきなのだろうか？
さて、前置きが長くなったのだが、そのコトについては、若干抵抗するようにしている。
安い部類のメニューから選択するのだ。
逆に広い席を割り当てられたときなどは、なるべくその想いに応えようと、高いモノを選び、さらに余分に１品付けたりしてしまう。
今まで、そういうレビューを多くしてきた。
だから、当初予定していた２つの丼を一気に食べられるセットメニューは止めた。
「和風チキンタツタ定食」(1,190円) ―― 写真の通り。
和風って何だろう？
経験則的には、おろしポン酢のコトだと理解するべきであろう。
ただ、下味とかはあまり感じるトコロが無かった。
他のチキンタツタと共用なのなら、仕方がない。
チキンの肉質自体は普通に感じたが、部位がたまたま良くなかったのか、断面写真を撮ろうとしても、極薄になってしまう。
肉のように盛り上がっている様は、かなり厚い衣と、上のおろしポン酢と、下のモヤシによる。
サラダは、野菜たちの中の豆類の状態や質感は良かったが、葉物にやや難があった。
あと、サラダとしての味が薄い。ドレッシングが極少量。
で、テーブルを見回すが、何も無い状況。
ワカメ玉子スープは、理解不能な味わい。
コンソメベースのようなモノだったのだが…。
あと、気になっていたのだが、チキンプレートの小鉢的なモノ。
大学芋のようなモノが１コ。
お店を出てからメニュー写真を見直してしまった。明らかに違うモノだった。
全体的に、価格的な妥当性を下回る感は否めなかった。
700円台ぐらいだったら、もっと良い評価ができたモノだと考える。
ごちそうさまでした。
どんな会社なのかと、逆に興味が湧き、ググってみると、いきなり、
『幅広い客層をターゲットとしたカフェ＆和定食の店。 肉料理をメインに色々なものを少しずつ楽しめる欲張りな和定食や、SNS映えするフォトジェニックなドリンクや ...』
という文字列。
一番最初に、「ターゲット」というコトバが出てくるあたりは、やはり経営目線なんだろうと思ってしまった。
僕は、基本的に、味重視の立場から、「料理・味」を３倍評価し、他の項目と加重平均している。
さらに、気に入らない感じの店でも、ウマけりゃそれなりに評価する方針である。
過去に、上板橋駅近くの「魂の中華そば」などは、同じような状況だったが、美味しかったので「3.5」の評価をした。
「背中が壁面にくっつく感じで、狭い。右横に、２人入られたら、もう出れない感じの席で、ある意味、磔の刑である。」とまで書いた店であった。
まぁ、ラーメン店と、レストラン街の店という違いは、当然に予測想定範囲が異なるのであるが…。
あと、お店の雰囲気造りもこだわっているようだったが、ルミネの屋上庭園的な中庭を見せる為に、窓を大きくしているのなら、何故に看板で下半分ぐらいを隠してしまうのかわからなかった。
もったいない…。
