高校まで通っていた駅チカの隠れ家的レストランに、高校の悪友に連れってって貰いました。先に入店し連れを待っていたが、店はほの暗く、品の良いご夫婦がカウンターにちらほら。品よく食べないと、「当店には相応しからぬ輩」と、店から叩き出されるのではと、こちらは戦々恐々。と、連れが登場。のっけから久しぶりに会ったという事で、連れはボルテージMAX。結構内容的にセンシティブ（連れはいわゆるセレブな家の生まれなので）な話題が多かったので、受けるこちらはヒヤヒヤしていたが、店のスタッフのEQの高さか、そうした話題もまるで聞いてないかのように接客。
中学高校時代の先生や友人の話題が満載で、食べ物に関心を向ける余裕が無かった中で、馬刺しの美味さと、ワインの味の優しさが印象に残った。
高校までの自分は忘れて、なるべく昔の自分の立ち位置から距離を置こうとしていた私であったが、連れの店のお陰で、少しだけ昔の世界に戻っても良いと思った夜だった。連れに感謝。
