東京メトロ副都心線の西早稲田駅近くにある油そばのお店「東京麺珍亭本舗」の高田馬場店。明治通りの諏訪町交差点から諏訪通りに入ってすぐのところにある。平日の12時半ごろに初訪問。
高田馬場、西早稲田、早稲田に3店舗ほか都内に5店舗ある。店内はやや狭めで、真ん中に店員さんの通路を挟み、両側に5席ずつ合計10席のカウンター席がある。先に食券を購入する。
油そばを軸に特製油そば、焼豚盛り油そば、背脂明太油そばが、並・大・ダブル・トリプル・鬼盛りの各サイズに分かれている。並と大は同料金、今回はシンプルに油そばの大にする。

お支払いにはPayPayが使える、PayPayのときは券売機で買わずにQRコードを読み取って店員さんに言ってから決済する。
たまたま待ちなしで席に着くことができたが、あとから来た数名は先に食券を買い、外で待つことになって暑い日は大変かも。客層としては学生8のサラリーマン2の比率で男子率高い。
そんなに待たず7,8分で提供あり。油そばにメンマとチャーシューというシンプルな見た目、食べ方が貼ってあり、酢とラー油をかけて手早く混ぜるとあるので、それに倣いガシガシ混ぜで食べる。
最初案の定むせかけたが、堪えて啜っていくと食べやすくて美味しい油そば、そんなにしつこさもなく、チャーシューもほろほろしていて美味しかった。ダブルとかもうちょい多めでも食べきれたかな。
