ChefRyuichi Hamasaki - Master of Italian cuisine in Japan
Born in Kagoshima Prefecture in 1963. Graduated from culinary school. At the age of 22, he moved to Italy and trained at restaurants such as "Dal Pescatore". After returning to Japan, he joined Ristorante Yamazaki and served as the head chef for 13 years. In 2001, he became independent and opened "Ristorante Hamasaki." In 2013, he received letters of commission from the Governor of Kagoshima Prefecture as ``Ambassador of Satsuma,'' and from the Mayor of Ichiki Kushikino as ``Ichiki Kushikino Tourism Ambassador.'' Certified as a "Kagoshima Food Master" in 2015. He also serves as vice president of the Japan Italian Cuisine Association.
