西麻布交差点から青山一丁目に抜ける道沿いにオープンしたネパール、北インド料理の「グラス」。グラスとは石楠花、ネパールの国花ラリーグラスのことだそうです。
日替わりカレーランチセットをいただきました。
この日は「オクラとチキン」、辛さはマイルド、ミディアム、ホットの三段階の内、ホットを。
北の寒い地方のお料理なので脂分が多いかと思ったら、トマトベースのサッパリとしたルーでした。嬉しい誤算。
辛さは唐辛子がメインで、香辛料はあまり使われていないようです。
シットリ、モチモチのナンは少し甘味があり、浸して食べるとカレーがマイルドに感じられます。
日本人の味覚にあわせて調整してあるのかもしれません。
とても食べやすいカレーでした。
定番のカレーランチも、バターチキン、チキン、ラム、豆（ベジタリアン）など6種類ほどあるので、ランチにカレーが食べたくなったら自然に足が向くだろうな・・・と思いました。
セットのドリンクは、ラッシー、烏龍茶から選べます。
ラッシーは、あまり酸味はなく、ハチミツたっぷりのヨーグルトドリンクと言ったところでしょうか。
単品ではチキンティッカ、サモサなどの他、生春巻きなどヴェトナム料理もあるので、エスニックな居酒屋さんとして楽しむのも悪くありません。
