This time, I went to a hidden Chinese Cuisine restaurant [GOUKA] in Nishiazabu. This store used to be in Tenma, Osaka, and has since moved. During the Osaka era, it was famous for its sweet and sour pork and golden fried rice. Of course, I asked for those two menus to be included at the time of reservation. It's a hidden gem that only people you know can reach. The inside of the restaurant is luxurious and the perfect atmosphere to enjoy Chinese food slowly! Today's course: Assorted appetizers. The appetizer goes well with Shaoxing wine, and I'm almost drunk at this point. Chinese steamed egg custard with crab and sea urchin. It's melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness will warm you up! The flavor of crab and the sweetness of sea urchin are a good balance. Stir-fried clams and seasonal vegetables. The clams have a nice texture! Asparagus claims aren't bad either! Stew of kueh and Gensuke radish. The fish called kueh is so delicious that it makes you wonder if it can be used in any kind of cuisine! Sweet and sour pork with black vinegar. It's hard to convey the size of this thing in photos... It's quite a thing. Compete only with pork! The big sweet and sour pork tastes so good. Sweet and sour pork (cross section). The center is still slightly pink and soft. It goes great with the sauce! Fried rice with fukinoto and kinka ham Oops...I forgot the shashin... It included wild eel and was delicious, but personally I prefer the simple golden fried rice from the Osaka era. The quality of the ingredients has improved since Osaka, but personally, I'm satisfied with the sweet and sour pork and fried rice!
