扉を開けて後ずさり。10数席ほどの小さなお店であり、むせ返るほどの熱気と油臭さにたじろいでしまいます。とにかく店内が暑い。冷房が壊れているのか外よりも店の中のほうが段違いに暑く、普通に座っているだけで汗が噴き出してきます。
お通しはテーブルにある鉄板の上でサンマを丸々1匹焼きます。これでお通し代ひとり300円は納得感がありますね。お店側にも手がかからず、ウィンウィンなお通しでしょう。
思わず生ビールを注文するのですが、「ビールサーバーが壊れていて、、、ぬるいんですけど」なんだそりゃ。予約を入れてるんだから、それなら連絡ぐらいしてくれたっていいじゃないか。特に飲みたいドリンクが無かったので、お冷やで済ますことに。
特製いちまる玉1,380円。当店のスペシャリテであり1番人気。豚玉に多少の海鮮を混ぜ込み、九条ネギを山ほど載せ、仕上げに生卵を落とすというビジュアル系お好み焼き。派手な外形ではありますが本質的な工夫があるというわけではなく、豚玉＋500円と考えると高いなあ。
最もシンプルな豚玉は780円。これは納得感のある価格設定で満足。しかしながら、店員の作り方がとにかく雑。ガチャンガチャンと乱暴に食材を取り扱うものだから、油やキャベツがお構いなしに客の洋服に飛んできます。油の臭いも染み付くので、体操着のように汚れても良い服で行きましょう。
「独自ソースと太麺を使った太陽の焼きナポリタンは絶品。の一言」との紹介だったので注文すると、あれ、なんか違う。ウインナーに玉ねぎがちょろちょろ挟まってるだけ。。。
ここでもやはり調理が荒っぽく、ウインナーが跳ね飛び鉄板脇のカス入れにおっこちそうになりました。ワンオペで忙しいのはわかりますが、もう少し食材に敬意を払って欲しいです。
ケチャップをぶちこみシュレッドチーズを混ぜ込んで、目玉焼きを載せて完成。うーん、全然美味しくない。お祭りのテキ屋の焼きソバと大差ありません。無駄なカロリーを摂ってしまった。
酒抜きで2人で合計4,000円強と高くはありませんが、服は汚れるし時間はかかるし特に美味しくないしで見るべき点は少ないです。貸し切りで飲み放題の宴会とかには向いてるかも。
そもそも、10数席を料理人兼サービスのワンオペで回すという方針に無理があるような気がします。決してお店の方を非難しているというわけではなく、経営方針に課題が目立ったお店でした。
