2018年７月下旬・・西麻布のとあるビル２階にある羊サンライズにお邪魔した。知人が予約をしてくれたのだが、なんでも予約がなかなか取れないらしい。店内に入ると4人で予約をしたのでテーブル席がキープしてあった。テーブルはこの1テーブルのみ、その他はカウンター席があるだけの小さなお店ながら、スタッフも多く繁盛ぶりがうかがえる。
炭火の上に鉄板を乗せ野菜や肉を焼く！その羊肉が新鮮だった。オーストラリア産、日本産とこだわりを感じられた。とにかく肉は新鮮で羊肉はくさみがあるイメージだったが、臭みどころか旨味を感じるジンギスカン、しかもスタッフが全て焼いてくれるので焼きすぎることなく、程よい焼き加減で美味しくいただいた。最後の羊肉のスープはあっさりとした塩スープ、また再訪したい。
