東京南麻布の有栖川宮記念公園に近い閑静な一角ある料亭有栖川清水。ここの敷地は、贅沢な程ゆったり広いのです。公道に面した門から入ると、まだまだ建物の入口はずっと奥。総理大臣など政治家の方の利用も多いそうですが、なる程、そんな雰囲気です。
そんな有栖川清水ですが、女性なら手頃な値段で楽しめるという「小町懐石」があるというので、友人と来たのです。
ゆったりとした個室に通され、優雅な時を過ごしました。結局最後まで、他の利用客には会いませんでした。
私達のお部屋は、まず畳敷きの踏込があり、左が専用化粧室。右が入口。襖を開けると室内は、専用の庭を眺めながら食事ができる驚く程広々した和室。20畳以上はありました。お座敷といっても堀ゴタツ式なので足は楽です。ゆっくりと美味しいお料理をいただきました。
有栖川清水は、何か特別な記念日に予約を入れて利用したいお店ですね。この位の懐石料理なら、どこでも食べられますが、有栖川清水の魅力は、何と言っても都心にあるとは思えないような風雅な建物、そして広いお部屋でしょう。
