I visited here around 6pm on a weekday in September 2023. YAKIYAKI-san no Ie AKASAKA is a Teppan-yaki Restaurants on the second floor of a building about a 3-4 minute walk from Akasaka Station. There were no other customers in the chic and spacious restaurant. We told them we had a reservation and sat at a table for two. We ordered the "Free Drink Sakasaka" for ¥11,500, so we started by toasting with a "Premium Yebisu draft beer" to quench our thirst. We enjoyed the mellow aroma and delicious flavor of Yebisu. Three types of amuse-bouche: corn soup, bonito and tapenade sauce, and pork tongue. Each one has the restaurant's unique touch, allowing you to enjoy the course meal right from the start. When combined with tapenade, bonito gives off a Western Cuisine flavor. The mellow and gentle-tasting soup is also a nice addition. Pork tongue is a good snack to go with beer. Grilled Japanese Natural Clams: A dish of simply grilled clams of good size. When you put the swollen clam meat with the clam extract into your mouth, a wonderful flavor spreads. It is because it is simple that you can enjoy the quality of the ingredients. Savor the aftertaste as you drink your sake. Grilled seasonal vegetables: Manganji peppers, green eggplant, and makomodake are served on Teppan-yaki. You can enjoy it with salt and miso sauce, but it is appreciated that the vegetables are grilled to bring out their flavor. Since there are free drinks, I switched from beer to sparkling wine. A refreshing cava is served, but it goes well with the vegetables. Today's Grilled Seafood: A dish that combines angel shrimp, marbled flounder, and ratatouille. Enjoy the flavor of high-quality shrimp and the delicate taste of the mild marbled flounder. The dish is grilled to perfection with a hint of butter. The combination of ratatouille and Seafood is quite fresh. Whole wheat bread is also included, so you can enjoy the sauce to the very end. Switch from sparkling wine to white wine and enjoy. "Chiringuito Cove Chardonnay" is a reasonable wine, but it goes well with shrimp and flounder. I would have liked a little more minerality, but it didn't interfere with the food. Specially selected Japanese black beef (A5) thigh (100g): For the main Meat Dishes, I chose Japanese black beef thigh meat. The meat was grilled medium rare and served with green beans. It was accented with wasabi, mountain wasabi, and sudachi citrus. This dish allows you to fully enjoy the thigh meat with just the right amount of texture. It was just the right amount of juicy and had a good taste. Switch to the red wine "Celsius Syrah" and enjoy it together. The combination of beef and Syrah was just right. YAKIYAKI's Teppanyaki Risotto: This is the specialty risotto at the end of the meal at this restaurant. This dish combines savory grilled risotto with champignon sauce. It is a dish with a good balance of aroma, texture, and flavor, making it a delicious dish. Finally, we chatted over iced coffee. At "YAKIYAKI-san no Ie," we were able to enjoy a moderate Teppan-yaki course in a relaxed atmosphere. The hospitality was excellent and the restaurant was comfortable. The satisfaction was more than worth the price.
