A story about Akasaka Lunch. It's on the second floor of a building on the Aoyama-dori side of Esplanade Street. It opened in July 2015. I only found out about it recently. It's in an inconspicuous building, but there's a sign on the street. It looks like a rental hall, but they serve lunch. The layout has tables on the left and right, so there's plenty of space and it feels open. It can accommodate 86 people when seated. I was shown to a seat at the front, with a tiered platform at the back. Approximately 80% of the clientele are women. It was 90% full. The menu is: ・Special lunch: Beef sagari teppanyaki Steak @1,200 (all tax included) ・A: Sautéed chicken thigh with honey mustard sauce @1,000 ・B: Grilled pork belly marinated in salted malt with green onion and salt sauce @1,000 ・C: Japanese-style sauce pasta with anchovies and cabbage @1,000 ・D: Octopus and ripe tomato ragu pasta @1,000 ・Five tapas @350 each, toppings @200 x 4, @100 x 6 [b:◎C: Japanese-style sauce pasta with anchovies and cabbage @1,000 (tax included). ] Drinks are free. In addition, large servings of rice are free, and focaccia is free to refill. The drink bar is in the front right. Water, straight tea, roasted green tea, rooibos tea, coffee, espresso, cappuccino. Salad and focaccia came out 3 minutes later. Self-service salads have been suspended due to the effects of COVID-19. The salad was shredded cabbage. The spaghetti arrived 9 minutes later. It was served on a round white plate. The overall portion was average. It was topped with chopped nori seaweed. The toppings were generous with small anchovies and cabbage. It also contained chilli peppers, giving it a Japanese flavour, like peperoncino. The noodles were cooked al dente and were quite tasty. I don't think I needed the focaccia. I had a hot coffee after the meal. The male staff member served us well, so there were no issues. Meat Dishes on the menu seemed to be better, and the spacious atmosphere made for a good lunch.
