本日は赤坂ランチ。カジュアルフレンチ『Chez-Ryo （シェ・リョウ）』をご紹介してまいりましょう。
2016年にオープンしたお店は、フレンチというよりも隠れ家的な大人なバーのような装い。ディナーのほうが雰囲気が出そうな空間ですが、ランチのメニューもかなり魅力的。メインが選べるランチが1800円。メインの他に、スープとサラダがセットになってきます。ランチの絶対額で言えば決して安くはないですが、量も質もパフォーマンスに優れております。
スープは、ヴィシソワーズ。夏の暑い日にぴったりな冷製スープから始まります。次はサラダだが、いわゆるランチのサラダといえば、言い訳程度の量と質の場合が多い。だが、こちらではもはやサラダランチとして一千円払っても違和感がないほどに充実しております。海老や蛸や貝などの豊富な魚介類、さらに鶏ハムや茹で卵などが脇をかため、葉野菜ばかりでなくトマトやじゃがいもも参加。そして、柔らかい酸味のドレッシングが実に美味い。繰り返しになるが、ここまでで帰らされても文句はありません。
だが、ここにメインもあるのです。ズワイガニのリゾットを選んだのだが、これもまた美味い。クリーミーなソースも抜群で、味はしっかりしているのに、蟹の風味もきっちり残します。芯の残る米のニュアンスも、それぞれの風味を楽しむための装置として機能しております。サフランの香りはアクセントに。
