<前置き>
最近鯨を食べたい気分になっていました。寒暖差が激しいのでスタミナをつけたいという狙いも兼ねてこちらのお店‘鯨の胃袋’さんへ訪問です。ここは鯨を使用した様々な料理が楽しめる居酒屋ですね。調べているとメニューの中に竜田揚げがあるのを発見！魚の竜田揚げ大好きなんですよね〜
ということで霞ヶ関駅に到着です。虎ノ門からの方が近いですが、歩きたかったので本日はこちらから。霞ヶ関は初めてきましたが、省庁がずらずら、、、日本の中枢機能が集約されているのが歩いていてもわかりますね。お店は歩いて10分弱のところにありまして、雑居ビルの2階ですね。それにしても周囲には美味しそうなお店がちらほら、、、行列をなしているお店もあるのでまた来ましょう。店内に入ると従業員の方が出迎えてくださいました。カウンター席が10席ほど、テーブル、お座敷が完備されているなど、比較的広めな店内ですね。注文はもちろん竜田揚げでご飯は大盛りでお願いしました。おかわりもできるそうなのでありがたし。季節のメニューや日替わりもあって毎日来ても飽きないですね〜 しばし待ちます。
<実食>
待っている間に続々と団体客が来店し、ほぼ満席になったところ、10分ほどで運ばれてきました。美味しそ〜 カラッと美味しそうな竜田揚げに水菜、マヨネーズが添えらえていますね。小鉢はきんぴらでした。これがまた美味しい笑 ご飯も山盛りでサイコーということで竜田揚げから一口、、、旨っ！衣はどちらかといえばしっとりしており、柔らかくもかみごたえは残した食感となっています。下味はしっかりしつつも、鯨の力強い旨みも感じられて、ご飯が進みます。クセもそこまでないですね。そしてご飯が美味しい！私好みの柔らかめの炊き加減で、スルスルかきこめます。
ここで付属のレモンを絞り、マヨネーズにつけていただきます。マヨネーズは酸味が強く、レモンんと合わさってさっぱりいただけます。竜田揚げ自体濃い味なので、ベストマッチ！卓上の醤油をちょこっとかけて、マヨ醤油にしても美味しいです！
<おわりに>
この調子で最後まで勢いを落とさずに完食です。結構ご飯も量がありましたが、ペロリでした。下味に負けない鯨の旨み、そして適度に味変をしながら飽きずに食べ進められる定食となっていますね。おひとり様と団体客どちらも利用しやすく、店内も活気があるのでまた来店したいですね。鯨が食べたくなったらぜひ。
