中学生時代アメリカ人の家庭にホームステイさせて頂いたことがあるのですが、日本という極東の国のことはアメリカであまり知られていないんだなと思ったものです。

「黒縁の眼鏡をかけて首からカメラをぶら下げて直角に腰を曲げてお辞儀をするんだろ？」というのが大半の人のイメージであった気がします。
・
中でも米食に対しての理解があまり進んでおらず、炊いたご飯にミルクをかけて砂糖を投入したものを指して「日本人が好きなライスでしょ？」と言われて震えたものです。

海苔も黒いのが不気味にうつるらしく、巻き寿司の内側に海苔が巻かれているのを見て具材を抑える役割を果たしているのかなと思ったものです。

というわけで本日のランチはアメリカンスタイルの #ロール寿司膳 が頂ける #舞 #海鮮寿司舞 です。以前近くにある別の支店の舞とは少し雰囲気が違います。

こちらの店舗は少し南国リゾート風だなと思っているうちにやって来ました。彩も鮮やかな #巻き寿司 と小鉢も充実しています。

まずは #寿司 を頂きます。プチッとした食感のトビコや内側に巻かれた具材が美味しいですね。他にも光り物の内側は卵が入っていたりきゅうりといろいろな味わいがあります。

ひじきのホッとする味わいにサラダも付いていて健康的な組み合わせです。お吸い物のあさりも美味しいですね。

寿司の具材はどれも新鮮で何を食べても見事なものでした。最後に #茶碗蒸し もいただいたら出汁の美味しさと鶏肉や椎茸といった色々な具材の味わいが滲み出ていました。

こちらの店はいわゆる日本的なようですが新しい日本の雰囲気でしたが、味わいは折り紙付きです。
