祝日出勤の夜に妻を南新宿でピックアップ。どこで食べようか、とそのまま東に車を走らせていて千駄ヶ谷の近くにおしゃれなレストランがいくつか並んでいたところがあったのを思い出して、そちら方面に。店頭の看板に「旬の山菜」と書かれてあったのに惹かれてこちらに。
基本はワインバーらしく、ソムリエチャンピオン同士の夫婦が経営している店らしい。しかしこちらは車なので申し訳ないがアルコールはなし。目当ては山菜。
そしてメニューを見るとエゾ鹿肉もある。ということで、ジビエと山菜と、、、今晩は山の香りのするメニュー中心にしよう!となる。
最初のサラダにはウルイが入っていて良いアクセントになっている。
そして山菜フリット。タラの芽とタケノコ。これが絶品でした。料理が、というより素材が、というところもあるんですが、タケノコはゆで加減がいい塩梅。風味がしっかり残ってましたね。そしてたらの芽。さすが山菜の女王、ほくほく感がたまりません。なんであんなに美味しいんでしょう。少なくとも自然のおいしさを全く崩さずに調理されているのはうれしい限りです。
エゾシカ肉はかなり柔らかい。本土の鹿より、多少コクがあってあっさりしすぎていない。あの鹿の柔らかい太ももを食べている、という実感があります。
最後はハマグリのパスタ。旬ということで菜の花も添えてあるのがいいですね。
ワインバーなのにワインを飲まずに料理のみを堪能。お店側にしたら迷惑かもしれませんが、とても堪能したディナーでした。今度は電車で訪れてワインをたしなもうと思います。
